Command line arguments

Command line arguments are startup parameters that can be used to alter the game's behavior. For a complete list and instructions on how to use these see command line arguments.

Languages

Ryzom currently supports three different languages; English, German and French. There are mentions in an official newsletter of Spanish and Russian to be added in future patches.

Linux (any variation)

It is possible to play it on Linux using Wine, CrossOver or using a virtual machine.

Apple

I have had pretty good luck running Ryzom on my macbook. These are my specs: Apple Macbook Intel Duo 2ghz 2 gigs ram 128mb NVIDIA GeForce Bootcamped Windows XP Direct 3d

Basically you need to split your hard-drive into two partitions. You use one to run Apple OS and the other to run Windows XP. Follow bootcamp's instructions to install Windows XP on the second partition. After XP has been installed, you hold OPTION/ALT during start up to select the hard-drive you want to boot. Select the Windows hard-drive. Download and install Ryzom. Due to the limiting Graphics Card on my computer, I had to run the very basic graphics, everything is set to low and I have found Direct3d shows graphics better. (You can make this selection in Ryzom Configurations.) I mostly use this computer to dig, although I have gone hunting with it and have dualboxed also.
