Mektoub racing is where participants on [[mektoub mount]]s race each other from a starting point to a finishing point, the goal being to get to the finishing point first. These races can either be held officially by the events team or unofficially by players or guilds.

A variation of normal mektoub racing hosted officially. It was first introduced during the 5th birthday celebrations of Ryzom. In this variation the racers ride atop miniature version of the [[mektoub mount]].
