Un œil averti reconnaîtra rapidement dans ce fragment un tronçon fuselé de l'abdomen d'un [[kirosta]], caractérisé par une terminaison bifide composée d'un cornicule et d'un dard.
L'abdomen d'un kirosta est constitué de quatre segments :
*premier segment, relié au thorax, ascendant ;
*second segment, positionné verticalement, descendant et très étranglé à sa jonction avec le troisième ;
*troisième et quatrième segments, horizontaux, dardés entre ses longues pattes par l'insecte.
Le fragment comporte les segments 2 à 4, ainsi que les appendices au complet. Il s'agit donc d'un abdomen qui a été tranché entre les deux premiers segments. La taille de l'abdomen est relativement modeste pour un kirosta, entre celles des abdomens des kirostas « irrités » et « enragés ».
La couleur de l'échantillon est totalement singulière et fascinante, d'un noir qui ne réfléchit aucune lumière, émettant seulement ça et là des lueurs vermillion formant taches ou lignes, selon l'angle d'observation. Cette couleur n'a jamais été observée jusqu'alors, sauf peut être chez les [[varinx]] indigènes des Primes Racines ou les [[gibbaïs]].
