Qui ici ne connaît PAS le Grand essaimage ?
Le [[Grand Essaim]]...
Le Grand essaimage s'est produit lorsque des mineurs se sont introduits dans un nid de Kitins. Peu de temps après, ils sont sortis de terre et ont commencé à tuer tout le monde.

[[Oflovak Rydon]] était un [[Fyros]] vivant dans les [[Anciennes Terres|Vieilles Terres]]. 

Lors du [[Grand Essaim]], alors qu'il emmenait les réfugiés loin des Kitins, [[Elias Tryton]] lui apparut au sommet d'une colline. Elias lui parla des Arcs-en-Ciel mais aussi pour le prévenir qu'il était en train de guider les réfugiés dans la mauvaise direction. 
 
Suite à cette rencontre, il rebroussa chemin et atteignit les [[Arcs-en-ciels|Arcs-en-Ciels]] et le refuge sûr qui y avait été préparé. Mais ceci n'est qu'une partie de l'histoire, car il s'inquiéta bientôt de ceux restés en arrière, ceux qu'il n'avait pu conduire jusqu'aux [[Arcs-en-ciel|Arcs-en-Ciels]]. Il quitta alors le Refuge et retrouva, grâce à sa connaissance des étoiles, la voie. Cette voie est la Voie, le Chemin de l'[[Exode]] qui permet aujourd'hui encore aux réfugiés de fuir les kitins des [[Anciennes Terres]] et d'atteindre les [[Nouvelles Terres]].
 
Encore plus important pour nous, [[Rangers]], [[Oflovak Rydon]] est celui qui, le premier, recruta des homins qui firent serment d'aider les réfugiés à rejoindre les Nouvelles Terres. Certains d'entre eux furent les fondateurs de ce qui deviendra par la suite les [[Rangers d'Atys]].
Il n'a pas créé lui même les [[Rangers]], ni même défini leur mission, ni fondé leur campement ( tout ceci fut le fait d'autres homins qui vinrent après lui ) mais ses actions, à elles seules, justifient qu'on se souvienne de lui. 
 

N'oublions jamais, enfin, qu'Oflovak a commencé sa vie comme simple aventurier et explorateur, non comme dirigeant et qu'il tourna le dos à cette vie pour sauver les homins des Kitins avant de consacrer six années à tracer et baliser la Voie. C'est pourquoi nous honorons sa mémoire au mieux lorsque nous combattons les Kitins et protégeons l'hominité ici, dans les Nouvelles Terres, mais aussi lorsque, tournant le dos aux facilités offertes par telle ou telle Puissance à d'égoïstes aventures, nous jurons de travailler à aider tous les homins.
