Note that many of this 'flora' isn't even really plants, but actually fungi or even immobile animals. But you'd have to dabble in botany a bit before you realise this. The flora you may run into varies immensely based on the ecosystem of the continent you're in. Only a few plants appear in multiple ecosystems (like the Olansi tree that appears in both desert and lakelands). Thus the flora is classified by ecosystem. Read more about it... Fongices feed on the sap of mosses that grow at their feet and sometimes live in symbiosis with crolices, sharing nutrients drawn from the Bark*. Their colour ranges from white to red. The whites are toxic, and can send you to bed for several days at least. Red ones give hallucinations simultaneously with incapacity. Just touching the ring of a fongice then putting hand to mouth will cause you to fall sick within the hour. The fongice is not a priori lethal, but ingestion can immobilize an homin for a week and more. It can be used as a basis for a poison when used by an expert botanist. Otherwise the homin civilizations will perish, leaving nothing but the bestial prosperity of the corrupted Goo… Some plants of the Forest Alinea - a needle-bearing tree, often comes in the shape of two trees twisting around eachother. Arino - a fern-like shrub with large leaves. Balogna - a dense bush whose leaves twist upwards in a spiral. Campana - a small herbaceous plant whose flowers are part of the composition of “Dandelion wine”. Crolice - comes in the form of huge branches twisting from the ground. Fragaria - a small herbaceous plant producing very sugary red fruit. Irena - a low bush, reaching no higher than a tall homin. Iriscea - named faham when growing in the Jungle. Pocea - a grass whose tiny seeds gather in a pendulous plume. Volacea - an herbaceous plant species whose size and colour differ according to variety.
