Main Ecosystem(s) | Lakes |
Counterattack type | None |
Plant characterized by very rapidly growing hollow woody stems forming a dense thatch.
The Lakes' bambú is similar to the Jungle's taleng but grows here less frequently in large dense bushes.
The plant multiplies by forming new stems from its roots. Flowering is very rare, and seed production even rarer.
Used as building material. Young shoots are also used for the production of alcohol.
