The sparàn is a curious succulent plant that looks like a much filled purse laid on the ground. A crown of stamens can be seen at its top.
Its plump body is saturated with slightly sugary water.
Normally of a rather neutral or greyish colour, some display various shades of pink.
The Trykers savour it cut into pieces or as juice.
