A deer-like ruminant with a goatee beard distinguished by its thick skin laid on like rhinoceros hide. A shy creature, its tough single antler is used more to attract a mate than to fend off predators, though will deliver a formidable hind kick when menaced. The capryni occurs all over Atys except in the Prime Roots.[1]
