The magairlín is an herbaceous plant bearing a single orange flower.
The rhizome of this plant often takes the suggestive shape of a character endowed with a prominent sex, which greatly amuses Trykers.
Beyond schoolboy pranks, this root, once grated, yields a slightly acidic condiment much liked with shellfish.
