Fear me not, homin, I am a scout. I'm here on a mission of reconnaissance to inform my people how the land lies in these parts. If you're game, I can propose you various types of tasks of reconnaissance and the maintenance of the region, as well as a task or two for my personal needs, don't worry, I won't ask you to do my dirty washing!

  Unnamed Scout

Scouts are wandering mission givers. They give a wide variety of missions, and pay no dappers for their completion; rather they rewards you with a more substantial gain in fame. They are somewhat akin to wandering welcomers, since they offer a similar variety in missions and reward you with fame only.

Scouts can work for either one of the 4 civilisations, or for one of the local tribes. They give out missions to anyone who wants them regardless of their fame, so they're greatly useful for working up your fame with tribes you're in the far negative with.

Scouts tend to have:

  • 4 crafting missions (jewelry, ranged & melee weapons, armor)
  • 7 foraging missions
  • 1 creature killing mission (kitin)
  • 1 targetting mission (herbivores)
  • 1 exploration mission
  • 2 quartering missions (kitin, carnivores, herbivores)
  • 1 bandit killing mission
