- Giselher and Minimei a farewell from Silan
Born in the winds of Silan as the fourth child of a charismatic Tryker family his father has given him the name Giselher. This new child got his name in memory of the only innocent member of a royal family long time ago. In that tragic tale all brothers and his sister died in one single senseless battle. After thousend and one year Giselher as the youngest of them awoke now anew on the planet Atys.
In the year 2592 at the first days of Floris (the first month of summer on Atys) Giselher arrived at the Ranger-Camp on Silan. He was a young man full of spirit for experiencing new adventures. Through sunny skys and dark cloudy rainy days, by days and by nights, he was roaming around Silan. So he found some treasures, learned to craft items, and the main thing: He learned to listen to the teachers. I do not deny, that the last point was not always easy. I can remember to some careless battles against wild animals and especially the bandits gang around Aken with some other Homins; A fight over 20 minutes, where nobody knew during those seconds, who would maybe win. As his father let me say, that is not recommendable to forget to taunt… But Giselher returned always at home again... Surely sometimes with a bloody nose.
Days and weeks went on; My boy grew up to be a really beautiful man. It begans a time, where the life became more serious. Chiang the Strong told him more about the threats of Atys. First the really difficulty mission to kill Reitzak, the very hard gang leader of the Chologoros. And not at least the excursion to the Kitin-Jungle, where Giselher had seen the first time the true enemies of all Homins.
But to my surprise Giselher found not only Kitins in the Jungle. I will never forget the day when he came home and speak to me: „Father, father, there in the Kitin-Jungle was a girl!“ I tried to hide a smile: „You have seen a Kitin-Girl, my son?“ He was exited: „No, father, it‘s no joke! She is a Tryker-Girl… And she has luminous pink hair! She … “ I tried to calm him: „Nice and easy, my young, what is happened there?“ He continued: „When I arrived in the Kitin-Jungle there were many Homins, but one girl looked at me… „ I couldn‘t hold back a comment: „It‘s normal, my son…“ He respoke: „No, father, she didn‘t stopped anymore with this. I wanted to pass her, because I wanted to go with the others to beat the Kirosta, but when I looked back she had still an eye on me… I tried to escape for some times, but at each time a moment later I needed to turn back to her. Her wonderful face, her magical Eyes… -I couldn‘t go on to hunt Kitins! … I couldn‘t leave her…!“ I added a small thing to the words of my son by whispering in my beard: „… You didn‘t wanted to leave her, my dear…“
So I realised, that my son had changed some arrangements appearently: A Girl was now more important then the adventures. And I guessed what would going on: To lose the son wouldn‘t be funny, but the reason why, should have made me happy. From this day I did seen him less and less. Every day he was in the Kitin-Jungle together with his new girlfriend. She seemed to be a good girl; He had learned much from her about the history of Atys, about the great swarming, flight and new beginning. And I was wondering, who was a Girl like this… ?
I didn‘t expected it so fast, but a special day cames near. Giselher burst into the room: „Father, father, it did happened… !“ I looked at him: „… What … did … happened, Giselher?“ He spoke full of enthusiastic: „We have defeated the Kirosta, father! Minimei casted some spells of healing on me, while I slew him with the twohanded sword!“ Minimei is her name, I thought quiet. She had to be a powerful sorceress. „You were only two??“, I asked him inconspicuous. He looked at me but his thoughts were far; Far from home, near at her: „Yes, father, we were only two… She is a miracle…“
Oh, I thought just the same. And I noticed more than this: „Giselher, have you bought new clothes? … And this dagger…? I‘ve never seen before a weapon like this. … Let me read this inscription: „-For My Friend Giselher-…“ He began to explain: „It‘s all from her, father. And look here, I have joined her Guild. She is not only a wonderful girl, she is very much more: She is a reflection of a mighty Guild Leader from the Mainlands, simply around in Silan to help other new Homins. … And father, she asked me, if I would follow her to the Mainlands.“ Giselher stood in front of me, and we looked face to face, father to son and son to father: „My lord father, may I go?“
I guessed the words already before they were spoken, but it hurts me hard. He had a fight against the Kirosta before, I had a fight against the tears now! I looked back to the room, because he shouldn‘t see my eyes. „You know it, my son: That journey will be final; You‘ll never see Silan again, never come through this door of your home… “ He continued my speach: „… And will never see my Minimei… “ I noticed that he lost his fight against the tears…
All in all my impression was, that his decision was right. He couldn‘t learn anymore here in Silan, but many much more at the infinite Mainland. He should see the legendary Citys there. Maybe he would be needed there, if the times become worse again. At the final farewell I asked him „Whats the name of that Guild Leader, Giselher?“ He answered with a view to the far: „Her name is Teeneemai… She is the Queen of the Tyneetryks Tears.“ He turned and went in direction to the Karavan-Transporter of the Ranger-Camp. A final backview, a final wave and he vanished from the landscape…
