Remember that Ring scenarios can be vastly complex and diverse, so no categorisation could ever hope to describe them all perfectly. Nevertheless we've tried to include some degree of categorisation, which we hope at least categorises the scenarios better than the ingame one.

*'''RP''' means the scenario is meant to fit within the lore of Atys.
 +
*'''OOC''' means the scenario is meant to be OOC (out of character) fun.
 +
*'''Semi''' means it's OOC-fun that has been flimsily covered to at least not contradict the lore of Atys or break immersion.

===Category===

A general estimate of the structure of the scenario.
 +
*'''Storyline''' means the scenario plays out a storyline. This doesn't mean the scenario has to be linear and static; there can be choices and branching storylines as well. Characteristic for a Storyline scenario is that certain parts of the scenario don't open up until you've reached that point in the story.
 +
*'''Playground''' means that there is a main objective and ending to the scenario, but the player doesn't follow a storyline to get there. The whole scenario is open to them from the start and they can figure out for themselves how to accomplish the objective.
 +
*'''Sandbox''' means there's no overarching objective to accomplish. This doesn't mean there can't be quests, it just means there's no way to 'complete' the scenario. The scenario is meant as a backdrop against where players can run around, explore on their own and do whatever they like.
 +
*'''Arena''' means the scenario is meant as a field for a specific purpose. Examples could be an arena where ever-harder monsters spawn, a battlefield where waves of kitin attack, or a field to play yuboball.
 +
===Lvl (Level)===
 +
The minimum combat level required to realistically be able to play through the entire scenario.
 +
*'''100''' means you'll need at least a level 100 character to play through the scenario.
 +
*'''4x200''' means you'll need at least a team of 4 players who are above level 200 to play through the scenario.
 +
*'''100 (4x200)''' means a single level 100 player can finish the scenario, but there's an extra part that needs a team of 4 players who are at least level 200.
 +

 +
Please note that many scenarios are designed so that even a level 1 character can complete them in some way, and if this is so than the minimum required level is 1, but this doesn't mean it has to be ''easy'' to complete them with a level 1 character. Naturally anything that involves any danger will always be easier with a level 250 character.
 +

 +
Nor does a minimum required level of 1 have to mean that ''everything'' in the scenario has to be doable for a level 1 character, since many scenarios put in some kind of extra that only a highlevel team can accomplish. A minimum required level of 1 just has to mean that the main part of the scenario can be realistically done a by level 1 character.
