The bomton is a mushroom (or a plant: its classification divides botanists) of very peculiar behaviour. It contracts its entire body to expel its spores. Its seeds are contained in translucent capsules that explode when expelled, releasing clouds of greenish spores.
The bomton appears in various colours, ranging from beige through orange and red to black. Individual bomton also changes colour over time.
Some botanists argue that the bomton is actually the first stage of development of the jubla.
