Revision as of 20:27, 24 May 2010
This is a list of Arispotle Ring Scenarios. Please only add English-language scenarios that are finished and that have been made available to the public in some way.
(Either through having been downloadable from this wiki or another site or through having been announced and hosted for several days by their creator.)
Feel free to use this list to pimp your own latest scenario too, but please keep the above guidelines in mind. Don't add your half-finished scenarios that you've only let a few friends test.

List
Scroll down to the bottom of the page for an explanation of all the colums.
Remember that Ring scenarios can be vastly complex and diverse, so no categorisation could ever hope to describe them all perfectly. Many scenarios have elements from all categories. Nevertheless we've tried to include some degree of categorisation, which we hope at least categorises the scenarios better than the ingame one.
Try not to read more into them than they're meant to say though; an RP-storyline-scenario can still be all combat and no dialog at all, and an OOC-arena-scenario can still have lots of story and no combat at all.

Legenda
Scenario Name
The name or title of the scenario.
Creator
The name of the person who created the scenario.
(Can be character name, account name, nickname, real name, whatever the creator likes to be known as.)
Date
The date of creation; when was the scenario approximately published?
Given in format 'year-month', so 2008-04 means April of 2008.
Available
Whether or not the scenario can be downloaded from Ryzom wiki. If it can be downloaded, click on the scenario's name to go to download page.
- Run and Edit means the scenario can be fully downloaded from Ryzom wiki, so you can load it in the editor and adapt and modify it as you please.
- Run Only means the scenario can be downloaded from Ryzom wiki as 'play only', so you can't open it in the editor, but you can play it or host it for others to play.
- Unavailable means the scenario cannot be downloaded from Ryzom wiki.
RP (Roleplay)
Whether the scenario is attempting to be consistent with the lore of Ryzom and not immersion-breaking for roleplayers.
- RP means the scenario is meant to fit within the lore of Atys.
- OOC means the scenario is meant to be OOC (out of character) fun.
- Semi means it's OOC-fun that has been flimsily covered to at least not contradict the lore of Atys.
Keep in mind, an RP-scenario does not mean you have to be a roleplayer to play it, nor does it mean it's only storytelling! The whole game of Ryzom that you've been playing outside of the Ring is all 'RP'. Likewise, an OOC doesn't mean the scenario is mindless hacking, an OOC scenario can have lots of very interesting story, just not fitting within the lore of Ryzom.
Category
A general estimate of the structure of the scenario.
- Storyline means the scenario plays out a storyline. This doesn't mean the scenario has to be linear and static, and it also doesn't mean the scenario is just storytelling. Characteristic for a Storyline scenario is that certain parts of the scenario don't open up until you've reached that point in the story.
- Playground means that there is a main objective and ending to the scenario, but the player doesn't follow a storyline to get there. The whole scenario is open to them from the start and they can figure out for themselves how they want to go about accomplishing the objective. Often there are multiple ways to do this or multiple tasks to accomplish first.
- Sandbox means there's no overarching objective to accomplish. This doesn't mean there can't be quests or goals or story elements, it just means there's no way to 'complete' or 'finish' or 'win' the scenario. The scenario is meant as a backdrop against where players can run around, explore on their own and do whatever they like.
- Arena means the scenario is meant as a playing field for a specific purpose. Again, this doesn't mean there can't be quests or exploring, it just means the scenario is mainly constructed as a playing field around one central activity. Examples could be an arena where ever-harder monsters spawn, a battlefield where waves of kitin attack, or a field to play yuboball.
Lvl (Level)
The minimum combat level required to realistically be able to play through the main part of the scenario.
- 100 means you'll need at least a level 100 character to play through the scenario.
- 4x200 means you'll need at least a team of 4 players who are above level 200 to play through the scenario.
- 100 (4x200) means a single level 100 player can finish the scenario, but there's an extra part that needs a team of 4 players who are at least level 200.
Please note that many scenarios are designed so that even a level 1 character can complete them in some way, and if this is so than the minimum required level is 1, but this doesn't mean it has to be easy to complete them with a level 1 character, nor that everything in the scenario has to be doable for a level 1 character. Naturally anything that involves any danger will always be easier with a level 250 character.
Description
A short description of the specific scenario. Please keep it limited to a few words.
