Featured article is a trick to replace the random display of "good" items. This method displays a different item per week, month or year. The referenced article is either redirected or copied / pasted. The latter is useful for truncating the text to a reasonable size to fit elegantly in the portal page. In this case, at the bottom we must add a link "to follow" which points to the whole page.
