The papalexis are transparent trees appearing as large ghostly leaves. They are found only at the Lucenthead Hurst.
Some botanists assert that papalexi is a distant relative of loojine and point out that the bulbous outgrowth at the base of its unique leaf resembles the caged ball of this latter.
There are two types of papalexis, one entirely transparent and the other appearing blue. It seems that it is water which makes the papalexi transparent. Because of its fragility, this plant is however not used by the Fyros.
Starting in the autumn, papalexis are completely torn to shreds by the dust winds of the Burning Desert.
