Larvester is one of the 8 occupations, and one of the 2 taught by the Tryker. Of those two, it is the harder profession, taking you to the Kitins' Lair. It mostly involves harvesting the kitin larva and turning them in to be made fit for consumption. The consumables created by this occupation give a bonus to focus regeneration.

Known bug: Since both component missions for Larvesters require handing items to Ana Ryon, having both missions open at the same time can prevent you from being able to hand in items for the second mission. Make sure you have only one mission open at any time and it should work normally.

Using 4 Primary Larva and 4 Secondary Larva, you can create a number of, surprisingly, Larva.

Larva can only be used while sitting down, and they increase your will and thus your focus regeneration for a short time.

The most basic form is the Q10 Dried Larva. It takes 1 second to consume, and increases your will by 400 for 10 seconds. This effectively gives you +160 focus regeneration (or +320 focus regeneration if you're sitting down) during those 10 seconds.

Mission 1 of grade 1

Forage Dead Insect Larva in the Kitins' Lair and hand them to Ana Ryon (at the entrance of the Lair). Once you complete the mission by handing the larva over to Ana Ryzon you'll receive a Primary Larva. There are 4 variants of this mission:

• Give 5 Plain Dead Insect Larva of at least quality 30 to Ana Ryon
• Give 10 Plain Dead Insect Larva of at least quality 30 to Ana Ryon
• Give 5 Average Dead Insect Larva of at least quality 30 to Ana Ryon
• Give 10 Average Dead Insect Larva of at least quality 30 to Ana Ryon

Larva-sources

You can only hand over the larva that your current mission tells you to, and once you do you'll be randomly given a new mission. You can abandon and retake the mission from Alin Ba'Creusey at any time to get a new random one, but since she's in Fairhaven and Ana Ryon is in the Kitins' Lair, it's not particularly efficient.

All the Dead Insect Larva required can be foraged from self-popping larva-sources that pop at different locations in the Kitins' Lair. Some can perhaps also be found at locations outside the lair. You don't need to have the mission active while digging them; the mission is only about handing them in. However, since they are mission materials and cannot be traded, you will have to dig them for yourself.

Mission 2 of grade 1

Forage Dead Insect Larva in the Kitins' Lair and hand them to Ana Ryon (again). In fact, this mission is completely identical to mission 1 except the grades of the required larva are different. Once you complete this mission by handing the larva over to Ana Ryzon you'll receive a Secondary Larva. The 4 variants here are:

• Give 5 Prime Dead Insect Larva of at least quality 30 to Ana Ryon
• Give 10 Prime Dead Insect Larva of at least quality 30 to Ana Ryon
• Give 5 Select Dead Insect Larva of at least quality 30 to Ana Ryon
• Give 10 Select Dead Insect Larva of at least quality 30 to Ana Ryon
