General
Missions are open-ended - can be repeated several times without being retaken, and only end on abandon or relog. Items acquired through missions can be upgraded (in batches of x number of items), with a certain chance of 50% item loss if the upgrade fails. Some occupations seem to have items which can remove the risk of item loss onm upgrade failure - the anti-loss items are procured through other occupations.
Cartographer
Can create Amber of Protection, which prevents item loss if an upgrade fails (for medic only? Cartographers require water from a water carrier for this effect).
Mission 1: Run to different places in CoI to measure the magnetics there. Obtain component item and quest item for mission 2 at each location. Magnetics Measuring Area A: Fragment of Magnetic Fields Map q10 + Analysis Result q10 Magnetics Measuring Area B: Fragment of Magnetic Fields Map q10 + Sealed Letter q10 Magnetics Measuring Area C: Fragment of Magnetic Fields Map q10 + Letter q10
Mission 2: Hand the quests items from mission 1 to cartographers in the 4 Zoraï cities, receive List of Magnetic Amplitudes q1 or q10. Cartograper (Goo Chase) in Zora: give Analysis Result, receive List of Magnetic Amplitudes q10
Produces Map of Magnetism. Map of Magnetism activates Aura of Stamina and Aura of Life. (At Q10, for 10 sec with radius of 10 m, +200 Stamina and +100 Life regen, cooldown 20 sec)
Medic
Gathering bandages and balsalms from NPCs in KL.
Mission 1: interact with random of four NPCs in lair to get bandages. Mission 2: Kill Toopetz Gret, whatever the hell that is, in Kitin Lair Open Zone 1, wherever that is.
Water-Carrier
Produces flask of water that give Aura of Sap and Aura of Life. (At Q10, for 10 sec with radius of 10 m, +200 Sap and +100 Life regen, cooldown 20 sec)
Toolmaker
Mission 1: Obtain a number of raw materials, always Q20. Either: 2 fine and 2 basic, quartered, same material. 3 choice foraged of each of the ecosystems, same material. Mission 2: Obtain 4 weapons, Q20 basic quality, each the same weapon but of a different race. (ie. one Q20 basic quality dagger from every race)
Butcher
Mission 1: Kill a number of creatures or open a chest in Imperial Dunes. Mission 2: Kill herbivores in the Cattle Room of the Kitins' Lair.
