The Kitins The Kincher

Chronicle

This Kitin hunter is recognizable by its huge mandibles and small abdomen and dorsal-shaped growth. The kincher precedes other Kitins into unknown territory to pinpoint prey and precious resources. It kills, crushes and analyzes everything in its path, selecting and marking the best materials.

― Social role in Kitin colony: Hunter.

― Behavior: Aggressive.

― Habitat: All over Atys.

― Exceptional specimen(s): Kinitch, Daï-Den, Cherkin, Chaghan, Gerder, Edna, Rippa

― Sociability: Moderate group instinct, will assist other Kitins in distress around it.

― Speed of movement: Very fast.

― Natural armor: None.

― Resistance to magic: Immune to acid attacks, very strong resistance to rot attacks, average resistance to cold, fire, poison, shockwave and electrical attacks.

― Magical immunities: Immune to stun, slow move and snare attacks.

― Type of attack: Melee (smashing).

― Special attack: Electric mandibles (attack which electrocutes the adversary).

Prerequisite Missions

The prerequisite missions are obtained from three homins:

• Ba'caussey Machen Sergeant, Crystabell, Liberty Lake, Aeden Aqueous (Located in the southern building of Crystabel, go to the Sergeant's floor),
• Ba'Duffy Dappan, Hunter, Fount, Aeden Aqueous, and
• Ba'arppy Jidgen Hunter, Resting Water, Aeden Aqueous.

Destroy the intelligent plants that are flourishing in Fount

• Kill:
  • 4 of any type of Stinga in Fount
• Reward: 4383 dappers
• NOTE: above mission is from Ba'caussey Machen

Eliminate the carnivores that are decimating herds in Fount

• Kill:
  • 2 of any type of Ragus in Fount
  • 2 of any type of Zerx in Fount
• Reward: 5357 dappers
• NOTE: above mission is from Ba'caussey Machen

Ba'duffy Dappan needs someone to wipe out the carnivores that are decimating herds in Fount

• Kill:
  • 4 of any type of Zerx in Fount
• Reward: 4383 Dappers

Ba'duffy Dappan needs someone to kill the species of herbivores that are devouring all the plants in Fount

• Kill:
  • 1 of any type of Yelk in Fount
  • 1 of any type of Cray in Fount
• Reward: 4383 Dappers

Head off on the hunt to help Ba'arppy Jidgen gather some bones

The Rite

The Kinchers

• 1. Talk to Ana Ryon who is located at the entrance to the Kitin Lair to begin the Rite.
• 2. Head to Lagoons of Loria and find Dixie Keale located directly east from the portal to Avendale. You should find her around a small oasis. She'll hand you 4 Phials
• 3. Head to Kincher Arch and target Gerder. (It is not necessary to target him at the Kincher Arch. He may also be in the north west of Loria around Loria Stronghold.)
• 4. Wait for 30 minutes. You can either follow Gerder around and mark the dig locations he produces or do something else till the 30 minutes are up.
• 5. Equip a Phial and stand within one of the Kincher Secretion dig spots. Your phial should fill up and be replaced by a Phial with the word "Gerder" on it in your inventory. If not, move on to another secretion spot and try again. After you've done that, you'll need to wait another 30 minutes. This happens each time you fill a phial. Repeat this 3 more times.
• 6. Now you'll need to kill Gerder! Gather your friends and set out for adventure! Afterwards, head back and talk to Dixie Keale, then talk to Ana Ryon again.
• 7. You'll now need to head to the far east corner of the Lair and summon a kincher that you will need to kill. Once there you'll find the "Source" skull. (Use caution as Kizokoo has been known to sit in the exact location you need to get to.) Activate the source to attract a Great Kincher. Killing the Great Kincher can be difficult with the smaller kinchers around it. The moment you attack any of them, the rest will swarm upon you. Either have a large team or taunt the Great kincher to at least the west side of Cattle Room to prevent being swarmed.
• 8. Head back to Ana Ryon to complete the rite.

Congratulations! You've completed the rite!

• Reward: For 60 seconds, a wall of electricity is created around you that temporarily reduces the attack skill level by 20 of any skill!

Note: if you have completed the Bawwab rite, the aura can be improved to reduce the attack skill by 30 instead of 20.
