Summary
From Gioni di Tylini, nicknamed "the Black Duke", only few traces remain in the memory of the people Matis. His military feats, however, have left his name as one of the heroes of the kingdom.
According to Pergio Vasti, a Matis Military Chronicler [1]: Gioni di Tylini était l'un de ces Mektoubiers, un colosse de souche karavian et un fervent croyant de Jena. Tylini se démarqua au cours de la bataille de Thormes lorsqu'il convertit ses prisonniers tribaux en de loyaux sujets. Son retour à Matia, la capitale des anciennes terres matis, fut célébré par un fastueux spectacle, et à peine la fanfare avait-elle arrêté de jouer que le roi avait convoqué Tylini. L'heure était venue pour les chevaliers matis de chasser les barbares impies de la terre sainte.
