In 2555 happened the first Refugees’ Days[1][2].
This festival was born out of the desire to preserve the memory of the Great Swarming. In order to never forget what the homins went through at that time, this festival will be held every fifth year of Jena [3].
It commemorates the return to the surface of the homins who fled from the Kitins through the Prime Roots, discovering a new and unexplored world: the New Lands.
The egg is the symbol of this festival. Indeed, like the homin at last seeing the light of day after spending years locked up in the Prime Roots, the chick comes out of its shell. The egg symbolises the new life of the refugees in these unknown lands.
On the occasion of these first days, many festivities around the egg were proposed. On the last day, the Zorai Kapiang Piai Fi organised a Tales Eve. In the Almati Wood, close to the ever-present Kitin threat, he invited the homins to share their memories, tales, legends and poems about the Great Swarming, the Exile and the Rise of the Prime Roots.
In order to remember the unknown and the unforeseen to which the Refugees were subjected at that time, each storyteller was able to open an egg. Some had good surprises, others less so.
