About images categorization
All images are on the common wiki, under atys:Category:New Horizons [1].
Important notes:
- All files hosted on the common wiki use categories, it's better to think and choose categories before start to upload files. For example, if you want to upload several images about an event, it's better to group all of them in a single category:
- when uploading add the code [[category:eventXYZ]] below some descriptive text + a link to the page that use this file (as en:To New Horizons, fr:To New Horizons...).
- In any wiki categorisation, any page or file should have the lower category - the more accurate one - not a category and it's mother. You can chose one and add to it many ancestors categories, in order your category will be easily find, when surfing in common categories - but not too much.
For ex all these images
- should not have the 3 categories [[Category:Homins images]] [[Category:NPC images]] [[Category:New Horizons]] - it's like giving 3 ancestors : writing Name X, daughter of Y, Y son of Z for all of them.
- Choose for ex Ba'keepsey Gamen (FairHaven) ; you can add a gallery with other lakes NH, or all NPC images, more text...
- most of them should only have a single category [[Category:New Horizons]], as it's the more accurate one. This category is under NPC images and NPC images is under Homins images. That's why I think it better to use ► (for ex thru my pages or atys:Category:Homins images) - the static array don't show the tree :)
