The beginning
Some time after the Great Swarming, my family with a large group of homins fled their lands, expatriated and persecuted for believing in the leader’s words named Elias Tryton, who questioned the good intentions of the Powers.
My group then had to face all the inclemencies and vicissitudes of the Desert, only supplied by what little they could take in their flight and protected by the strength of our race. However, during the exodus we were slowly exterminated by the beasts and homins followers of the powers; Ocyx, Kinchers, Cuttlers and others were taking account of some of us. Only Shooki's liquor kept our people happy.
Thus, after much walking through different corners of the Desert, from the beloved Emperors' Valley we traveled in comings and goings the Oflovak's Oasis, the Frahar Towers, the territories of Dyron and Thesos, the vast Sand Dunes and the scorched territories of the Flaming Forest and the Dragon's Gorge, fleeing, always fleeing. A small group of a few hundred homins that stayed together since Pyr's departure decided to disperse to hide, taking paths to different nations, to the Tryker’s lakes, the Zoraï’s jungle and my group, of a few tens of homins went to the Matis’ forests through the passage leading to the Hidden Source, that small group decided to seek refuge in one of the clans of the Marauders although with fear because of the reputation of violence they possessed; Nevertheless, they were warmly welcomed and remained there until our group grew.
Some of our people identified with the Marauder lifestyle and philosophy and were assimilated into the clan, many others decided to resume their lives grateful for the protection those so-called bloodthirsty ones offered us during our stay, some still with fanatical fervor in the words Tryton spoke but now hidden among the multitudes of nations, clans and guilds.
Others simply observed the past as a bitter history without meaning, one formed by fanaticism, fear, hatred or simple ignorance, these also said goodbye to the clan gratefully, but equally hiding their origin in the hope that someday hominity will coexist in peace, regardless of their beliefs. I am a descendant of the latter group, the one who fled Pyr, persecuted by their homins brothers, but who in their wanderings in the desert and finally in Matis lands strengthened their spirit, who received shelter and appreciation from the Marauders, and lived the horror that comes from ignorance and sectarianism.
