The variable characteristics (vitality, strength) will be given here for the biggest kitin specimen of each species.

Vitality

Sub-species Level Vitality
                Kizoar                                 236                                   5 440
Kipesta 239   5 440
Kipucka 245   5 828
Kirosta 253   5 828
Kinrey 259   9 600
Kipee 238 10 922
Kiban 227 10 922
Kincher 248 14 880
Kidinak 253 16 000
Kizarak 253 3 Stars.png

The weakest kitins are the flying ones.

Then come the kirostas and kipuckas, whose vitality is modest but which an armoring protects.

The kitin workers enjoy a reinforced vitality, probably necessary to carry out their work.

The kinrey is an elite soldier; moreover it is encountered mainly in Prime Roots, where its vitality is thus worth twice the value given here.

The kincher is well known for his exceptional vitality among other characteristics.

Less known, the kidinak is even more vigorous, and moreover is heavily armored.

And far above the others is the kizarak, which has a similar vitality to those creatures called Bosses.

Strength and special strikes

Sub-species Lvl Strike Special blow Note
         Kiban                   236                      759                      930                      Blinding effect
Kizoar 236 1 012 2 024 Double damages
Kipucka 245 1 012 2 024 Double damages
Kincher 248 1 012 2 124 Electricity Fast cast
Kidinak 253 1 012 hypnotic gaz Zone effect, very slow cast (6 s)
Kipesta 239 1 054 1 596 Fire Slow cast
Kipee 238 1 126 1 126 Long stunning effect
Kizarak 253 1 133 2 628 Rooting effect, unknown damage type
Kirosta 253 1 435 1 435 Poison Also very weak retentive poison effect
Kinrey 259 1 435 3 070 Acide Fast cast

The kitin soldiers (kirosta and kinrey) stand out clearly from the lot. All the other kitins strike with almost the same strength.

As for the special blows, the most devastating are those of the kincher and the kinrey: powerful and fast, they are able to carry two of them successively.

Attack pace

Sub-species Pace (hits/mn)
            Kipee                         19
Kiban 19
Kipucka 22
Kipucka 22
Kizoar 22
Kirosta 22
Kincher 22
Kidinak 31
Kinrey 31
Kizarak 31

The difference between "worker", "regular" and "elite" kitins is found again clearly here.

However, the apparent attack pace has to be balanced by their use of special blows.

These can take time (kidinak, kipesta) or on the contrary be very fast (kincher, kinrey), without altering the flow of normal blows.

Moving speed

Sub-species 100 m in… km/h m/s h.s. factor
        Kidinak                 22 s                 16                    4,5                 0,78
Kizarak 20 s 18 5 0,86
Kipee 20 s 18 5 0,86
Kipucka 17 s 21    5,9 1,01
Kinrey 16 s    22,5      6,25 1,07
Kiban 15 s 24    6,7 1,15
Kizoar 15 s 24    6,7 1,15
Kirosta 15 s 24    6,7 1,15
Kincher 13 s    27,7    7,7 1,33
Kipesta 12 s 30    8,3 1,44

This table shows the number of seconds required for the kitin to travel 100 m.

By way of comparison, a running homin covers 100 m in about 17.25 s, or only 9 s in a frantic race, which cannot last indefinitely. Mounted on a mektoub, it also takes 9 seconds to cover this distance.

Among the kitins, the kipesta and the kincher are champions.

The workers (kipee, kipucka) don't need to go very fast, and the elite kitins, defenders of kitins' lairs, don't rely on their speed either.

The "h.s. factor" gives the ratio between the speed of a kitin and that of a homin. The kipucka moves barely faster than we do.
