"There have been too few sightings of these kitins, secluded at the bottom of their nests, but they seem to be guarding the kitin larvae."

Comment of the Master-at-Arms

Driving a kizarak out of its nest and slaughtering it is a great challenge for a team of masters.

It sometimes leaves its nest for a walk in the open air. Thus one can from time to time observe a solitary kizarak wandering in the vicinity of the Tunnel of Woe.

Knowledge of the kizirak
Kizarak SKA icon.png
  • A long time ago homins thought that kizaraks were queens. This is how the kitinologist Daeronn Cegrips described them following a memorable expedition in the Demon's Lap.
  • Later entomologists professed that they were rather queens "in the making". That is, in a way, princesses.
  • Even more recently, the entomologist Ardan Keale claimed that they were princes (male specimen). Hence the mysterious name "Princes Room" given to a remote room in the Kitins' Lair.
  • The specimens of the Desertstock, the Underwood Woe and the Demon's Lap keep larvae under their paws. But not that of the Tunnel of Woe.
  • There is a tiny specimen of kizarak at level zero of Desertstock.
