Introduction

On Atys, there are several kinds of transportation. Teleportation and magical transports are techniques and services offered by higher powers or technology. The Homins did not master this magic until the appearance of zinuakeen and tunnels.

Resurrection

Resurrection (called res) is one of the magical transports on Atys.

window appearing during the character's coma

A homin who suffers injury equal to or greater than the total "life points" (hp) goes into a coma

A rescue requires restoring life points of that homin above zero within a few minutes countdown time
Rescuers can sometimes use vortex tunnels to reach the fallen in time

Vortex tunnel map

The Kami or Karavan graciously "resurrect" any homin who does not get rescued in time
The resurrected homin reappears at one of several locations, which may be freely chosen within the same region by clicking in time on any rez point vortex shown within the the coma countdown window
If no choice is made, the homin reappears at the last prevously used resurrection location (regardless of its region) All status levels (life, sap, endurance and concentration) then have 1 point left.but begin to regenerate normally.

Beware: not all vortex locations are rez points.

The resurrected homin must then pay a "death penalty" (DP) of experience points

The total amount of the death penalty depends upon the maximum skill level of the resurrected homin
Experience points normally gained then get confiscated instead by the divinities until the "dp" has been fully repaid
Divine help with the repayment of "dp" can be bought with dappers at the Altars and TP points of the two divinities, Kami and Kara
That both reduces the total penalty amount of the "dp" and speed ups its repayment

New Horizon

The NewHorizon (called in short NH) is a transportation service organized by a nation (Fyros, Zoraï, Tryker or Matis). In each city (Pyr, Yrkanis, Fairhaven and Zora, but also Min-Cho, Thesos, Avendale, Davae, etc.) a NPC carrier, named "New Horizons", allows you to travel to another city located in the same country.

It is to these NPC Transporters that you can offer the products of the basic Occupation (Occupation mats).

Since Patch 00949[1]

  • such a trip costs you 1 dappers if your fame is sufficient.
  • And a new NH have been added on Silan.
  • But to use it, you need to go first on foot on the destination.

What is teleportation?

<b />Teleportation is the magical instantaneous return to an altar or TP point from anywhere on Atys

That service is provided by the Atys divinities of the Kami or Kara, to the homin who uses up a TP pact
The homin returns to that altar or TP point at which the pact used had been bought

TP neutre.jpeg

The prices of the teleporter pacts vary between 1,000 and 10,000 dappers each, when bought they appear in your bodily inventory.

Each pact has a particular color according to the country where it was obtained:

  • orange pacts for the Fyros (Desert)
  • the greens for the Matis (Woods)
  • blues for Trykers (Lakes)
  • the violets for Zorai (Jungle)

The seal of the pact indicates the faction:
the Karavan seal is rectangular, the Kami one is a circle.

How does it work?

1. Buy the teleportation ticket (known as a pact) at the TP. It lands in your bodily inventory
(TP pacts can be moved to a mektoub or apartment but will not be usable while there)

2. Click on the TP pact you want to use

3. Wait for the teleportation to complete (about 15 seconds), do not move because that stops the launch.

Notes

  • A pact cannot be used sitting down or in the water.
  • A homin must remain motionless and not be attacked during the full 15-second activation delay.
  • You cannot exchange them with another player
  • Pacts can be used when you are in a coma - you will arrive at the altar at which they were bought

  1. Before Patch 00949 (2023 March):
Such a trip costs you 3,000 dappers unless your fame with the corresponding nation is maximum (100), in which case the trip is free.
