It's a story that was told to me when I was a little child, to avoid me going for a walk alone…

There is an abandoned village in the Nexus.

Who created it? Why did the people leave? No one knows. On some nights you can see the fires smoking, the lanterns shining in the shelters that remain…

But there is nothing left in the morning.

It is only on the darkest nights that these little flames are seen. Nights like those when It is only on the darkest nights that these little flames are seen. Nights like those when the wind of Anlor Winn blows.

One day, a driller was surprised by a sudden storm. He took refuge in the village, despite his sinister reputation. There, in his wobbly shelter, shaken by the wind, he saw countless flames ignite. They were carried by translucent kamis, whose bones could be seen. These kamis came and went within the village whispering. Then they gathered in a circle in the center of the village.

A bit like us tonight.

The driller was very anxious, and did not move from his hideout. Then one of the kami spoke. His voice was that of the storm:

There is someone missing from our circle!

Nothing was moving. The kami said again:

Our circle is missing someone! And if he doesn't come, then death will spread over this country.

But again nothing was moving.

If our circle is not complete, all life on Atys will join the shadows, thundered the kami.

So the terrified driller thought that if anyone was going to complete the circle, it had to be him.

He wasn't a kami or a spirit, but he was there. So he joined the circle and sat down. He spent all night with the kami, in the cold and wind.

What was said, no one knows.

When dawn came, he was just another skeleton in the ruins…

There is no moral to this story, just two questions:
Was it better to avoid the ruins that night? Or did this homin and his courage save Atys?
