There is a total of 8 occupations currently ingame, but any character can only take at most 3 occupations at one time. So you'll have to decide which ones you want. This is a rather easy choice, since there are only 4 professions that don't require going into the [[Kitins' Lair]]. So if you aren't anywhere near having a level 250 combat skill and won't survive long in there, the most you can do is pick 3 out of the remaining 4. The reason for the above recommendation is that Water-Carrier and Magnetic Cartographer are very similar in their missions, so would probably be boring to do both. Also they both give rewards that cannot be used while your aura is down, which is a long time after use for a low-level character.

Really though, picking any 3 out of the those 4 will always ensure you have one item that helps sap regeneration, one that helps stamina regeneration and one that helps life regeneration.

Larvester is the only occupation whose rewards give a boost to focus regeneration, so a clear choice if your main activity is foraging. General

Missions are open-ended - can be repeated several times without being retaken, and only end on abandon or relog. Items acquired through missions can be upgraded (in batches of x number of items), with a certain chance of 50% item loss if the upgrade fails. Some occupations seem to have items which can remove the risk of item loss onm upgrade failure - the anti-loss items are procured through other occupations.

Additional Almati TPs can be obtained by retaking the first mission.

Bug with the scrollmaker mission 1: This mission must be completed in a team - the team member(s) not doing the digging will receive the material.

Cartographer

Upgrading items:

  • Fragment of Magnetic Fields Map Q10 -> Fragment of Precise Magnetic Fields Map Q15
  • List of Magnetic Amplitudes Q10 -> List of Precise Magnetic Amplitudes Q15

Creates Map of Primary Magnetism Q20, +400 stamina and +200 life regen, 10 sec, 10 meter radius, disabled for target and user for 70 sec both

The same as melee fighting, assuming all you want is health and stamina regeneration. The only difference is that the butcher mission isn't as easy to do with ranged, so you might want to get your health regeneration items from the medic occupation instead.
