— Vao Sai-Fuang : Right... we will have to check something. Go to Maiden Grove and find choice Sap/Silverweed of the jungle.. This will enable us to find out if the Hamazans of the Dead Seed are responsible for this or not.
Follow the road to the west from the Hamazans of the Dead Seed’s camp, and you will quickly arrive at Maiden Pond. Near the pond, you will find the sap that I need^[1]. To get it you will need to prospect. If you do not have this skill you should ask someone to help you.

[Gather 5 choice Sap/Silverweed of the jungle and bring them to Vao Sai-Fuang. You can forage for them near Maiden Pond^[1] to the west of the camp of the Hamazans of the Dead Seed.] :

— Vao Sai-Fuang : You have brought me the sap, $You$. I see that I can trust you. Now I will have to study the wildlife and intelligent plants. You will have to kill some specimens.... Let's see..
For the wildlife, gather me some Torbak Fangs. For the plants, Slaveni Moss. When you return, I will have finished analyzing that sap you gave me.

— Vao Sai-Fuang : Excellent. For my part, I have finished the analysis of the sap, and the results are intriguing. This sap has been contaminated by the evil corrupting Maiden Grove, but... in no way can this be the work of the Hamazans of the Dead Seed.
The magic here is just simply too advanced. The Hamazans of the Dead Seed have never developed their magic to this level, any more than the Shadow Runners have, for that matter. I believe the sap was put here to bring suspicion onto the Hamazans of the Dead Seed...
But before going further, we will have to stop the conflict growing between the two tribes. A battle between tribes in Maiden Grove is the last thing we need.

Plusieurs tribus s'intéressent à ce cataclysme qu'est la Goo, mais grâce à la sphère que vous nous avez ramenée, nous savons laquelle est coupable ici : ce sont les membres du Black Circle.
Il est évident qu'ils doivent être arrêtés. Cependant... un conflit direct n'est pas souhaitable. Ils maîtrisent la magie de la Goo, et une bataille provoquerait d'irrémédiables dégâts sur la nature que nous voulons tant protéger.
Je souhaite donc que vous leur apportiez un... message. Tout est dans cette lettre. Apportez-la à leur chef. S'ils deviennent agressifs, fuyez. Mais je doute fort qu'ils tentent quoi que ce soit après l'avoir lue...
La tribu du Black Circle a un campement dans le Grove of Umbra. C'est un endroit dangereux pour vous, $You$. Essayez de trouver de l'aide avant d'y pénétrer... à moins que vous ne vous sentiez de taille.

— You : Le chef m'a dit qu'ils allaient tout de suite s'arrêter.
— Icaps Xaphaan : Je crois que nous n'entendrons plus parler d'eux avant un moment... et en attendant, le Maiden Grove est sauvé. Vous avez rendu un immense service à la nature, $You$. Prenez ceci.
C'est un matériau très convoité par les Hamazans of the Dead Seed et également par les Shadow Runners. Donnez-le à l'une de ces deux tribus, et elle vous donnera assurément une formidable récompense en échange.
Je crois que les Shadow Runners disposent d'armes à distances, tandis que les Hamazans of the Dead Seed préfèrent les armes de mêlée...
