     “Nature under threat” is one of the four quests proposed by the sages of the four capitals and intended for Homins arriving from Silan on the continent. Like the other three quests, it accompanies the character up to level 100. This page recalls all the dialogues of the quest and the different missions that make it up.
    The quest takes place entirely in Witherings. Completion of the quest is rewarded with items of heavy armour of good quality, a melee or ranged weapon, and lesser "gifts".

    This quest is long. The last step reached is remembered, so if the quest is unintentionally abandoned, it can always be resumed by returning to talk to the sage who gave it.

— Cai Ci-Du : Two tribes call Maiden Grove their home: The Hamazans of the Dead Seed and the Shadow Runners. According to the Shadow Runners, the Hamazans of the Dead Seed are responsible for this insult to nature. If you are a true child of Atys, go to the Shadow Runners and try to learn a bit more about this threat.
Oh, one last thing: This mission may take a long time. If you forget who you were supposed to go see next, don't hesitate to ask me.

— Vao Sai-Fuang : Right... we will have to check something. Go to Maiden Grove and find choice Sap/Silverweed of the jungle.. This will enable us to find out if the Hamazans of the Dead Seed are responsible for this or not.
Follow the road to the west from the Hamazans of the Dead Seed’s camp, and you will quickly arrive at Maiden Pond. Near the pond, you will find the sap that I need^[1]. To get it you will need to prospect. If you do not have this skill you should ask someone to help you.

[Gather 5 choice Sap/Silverweed of the jungle and bring them to Vao Sai-Fuang. You can forage for them near Maiden Pond^[1] to the west of the camp of the Hamazans of the Dead Seed.] :

— Vao Sai-Fuang : You have brought me the sap, $You$. I see that I can trust you. Now I will have to study the wildlife and intelligent plants. You will have to kill some specimens.... Let's see..
For the wildlife, gather me some Torbak Fangs. For the plants, Slaveni Moss. When you return, I will have finished analyzing that sap you gave me.

— Vao Sai-Fuang : Excellent. For my part, I have finished the analysis of the sap, and the results are intriguing. This sap has been contaminated by the evil corrupting Maiden Grove, but... in no way can this be the work of the Hamazans of the Dead Seed.
The magic here is just simply too advanced. The Hamazans of the Dead Seed have never developed their magic to this level, any more than the Shadow Runners have, for that matter. I believe the sap was put here to bring suspicion onto the Hamazans of the Dead Seed...
But before going further, we will have to stop the conflict growing between the two tribes. A battle between tribes in Maiden Grove is the last thing we need.
