Zigs are pets that are supposed to be able to follow you everywhere. They have an inventory extension.
There are three types of zigs are in game at the moment:
- Albino Yubo (special reward that be obtained only on special occasions [1]);
- Gubani (various sizes available);
- Frippo ( various sizes available).
Important: characters on free accounts can own a Zig, but only subscribed accounts can really get the benefits of all their features.
How to get a zig?
- A friend can offer you his zig, just as a mount or a packer.
- Gubani and Frippo Zigs can be won at the Wheel of fortune: you win “Zig parts” that you can assemble when you have the required amount. However, the parts will assemble only if you do not already have a zig. In such case a workaround is to give (exchange) your zig to a friend, assemble the new one, then get your first one back.
- You can have a maximum of 3 zigs (assemble one, give it to a friend, assemble the second one and so on...).
- We can't buy them. Either a homin gives you one, or you win it at the Wheel of fortune. (tokens: especially with the excellent ones, more rarely with the basics...), knowing that we can only assemble one at a time.
Zig features
- It has different behaviors, and at first you have to tame him (he doesn't always obey very well, it gets better). Often he turns around you, when you leave your apartment with him or when you take it out of the stable (if you let it sleep there), but in general it is a calm companion, even if it makes the typical Gubanis cry.
- Frippos are like Gubanis Zigs, but they move more: they bark, pee and then scratch the ground with their hind feet...
Inventory
- All zig inventories have a bulk inventory of 150
- when in your bag, you don't have access to its inventory
- in macros, no "Put in the bag" command"
Object groups do not work with zigs (June 2020 and Sept. 12th, 2019).
Name
- By default, a zig bears the name of its first owner. It won't change if exchanged with another character.
- As for mounts, it is possible to change their name of an animal at the stables.
Follow-me
- In “follow-me” mode, your Zig will follow you everywhere, including in rooms, apartments or through teleportation of any kind (theoretically, bugs may happen).
- When running after you zigs use their resources and get hungry, just as mounts or packers. If you plan to let them run after you, don't forget to buy them some food at the stable.
- When you use the "speed" action, the zig doesn't; so it won't be able to follow at some distance ...
In bag
When in your bag, a zig stays with you whatever you do, just as any other object in your bag. More, it won't die if you do, fortunately ! However, you do not have any access it's inventory (but displaying it), unless you take it out of the bag.
The bulk of zig's inventory does not reduce your bag's one, but its weight is added, so beware not to carry too heavy things (sap crystals, ammonition especially) on them or you might be unable to move (if it happens and your're lost, check your Stats window ("p" key) and find your speed... when not 100% , you are loaded too much).
Solved
- Now (June 2020), you'll find in macro the commands to get them in/out your bag.
Like toubs - maybe even more often than toubs? - we look for them, we don't know where they went...
- Often when we logout, it stays where you are, but won't follow you when you come back. Try to remember where you were when you logged out.
- If you have your zig in your bag, and you TP, it happens that the zig stays there if it was not following.
Better quit near stables or near your apartment.
Better to keep it in stable or close to it or in your bag , if you don't like, as me, spend too much time to find it...

- Macros don't seem to work (following a discussion on evenness in Sept 2019).
- No access to the Zig's inventory, so they are only decorative (and to be stroked).
As a reminder, only one mektoub (and no apartment).
