Information

The Darkening Sap ^[1] are a fanatic tribe of Matis studying the Goo, and the only tribe to do this outside of the Witherings. One could guess that "Goo-Matis" is how others call them while "Darkening Sap" is the tribe's own preferred name. They reside in Heretics Hovel and remain followers of the Karavan and allies to the Matis nation despite their dubious research. Like all tribes studying the Goo, they are considered enemies by the Zoraï government. For whatever reason though, the Darkening Sap are known to attack not only Zoraï, but also Tryker coming too close to their camp. Only Fyros and fellow Matis are allowed inside, provided they aren't Kami disciples.
To carry out their research, they maintain a stock of goo in their camp, which many Matis consider extremely dangerous. They are supplied by goo convoys from the Zoraï jungle to renew their stock. The last one happened in 2531.
