Ryzom chat shifts into 6th gear
- We've been preparing the switch to version 6 of rocketchat for a few weeks now, and it's just been implemented.
- The new version required a complete rewrite of the game gateway.
- All history will be preserved, usage remains the same, but a few small bugs may have been hidden.
- A new /rzlang command lets you choose the language for translations (RC command).
- The ignore list should now be taken into account when a player speaks from chat.ryzom.com.
- Guild channels are now better handled when creating/deleting guilds.
What's been fixed
- Squads purchased when defending an Outpost should now appear at the right time and in the right place.
- A bug that restored hit points to jewels has been fixed.

We refined the interface
- The items to assemble in the special bag now have a percentage displayed to make them easier to read.
- The purchase option for Ryzhome and Rywards items has been improved to be easier to understand, and shows, whenever it's possible, how to get the reward.
- The design of the Notes app has been improved.
- Info option from the context menu has been removed; an "i" icon has been added on the right side of the target's name, when the target is a player, instead. It opens the Profile app for the targeted player.
- "Ask politely" is now the default option; deactivation is still possible in the Guild app or in rumors. Please note that the option is disabled for new players until they have left Silan.
Target like a pro
The /tar command has been improved: you can now use the special characters "*" and "?":
- "*" matches any sequence of characters (including the empty set).
- "?" matches any character (but exactly one).
Here are a few examples:
- /tar *kin (targets izakin, madakin, but not kincher)
- /tar izak?n (targets izakin, izakan, but not izakoo)
- /tar m*kan (targets madakan or mekan)
Take notes
The Profile app has been reworked from scratch. You can now add notes while viewing another player's profile. The notes are personal: only the player who added them can read them.
You can find player notes in the Notes app with the @Players tag. They are also all prefixed with @ such as in @Ulukyn.
Roleplay tags/badges for all!
Players who were unable to select Roleplay tags/badges during character creation can do it now. Careful though: you can choose only two, and your decision is final!
Bye bye little bug
Certain entities were invisible in certain locations. That bug is fixed.

Archoleth

In addition to generic colored materials and 3* Archoleths, the Happy Hunt and Joyful Harvest allegories now also allow you to obtain 4* Archoleths (albeit more rarely).
Archoleths can be exchanged with the Collector, who will give according to what he has in stock (randomly, that is):
- for 3* Archoleths, rewards (excluding armor) earned with the Wheel's excellent tokens, as well as, very rarely, the Muse skirt (skins 1, 2 and 3) and Rizyin weapons;
- for 4* Archoleths, rewards earned with superior Wheel tokens, as well as, rarely, Rizyin weapons and the Muse skirt (skins 1, 2 and 3)
What's more, the equipment given in exchange for 4* Archoleths will always be of Archoleth quality, i.e. between 50 and 250.
Funtasy Islands
A test island called A LONE ISLAND is now available to all daring ones. It can be accessed from the Scenographic Editor terminals (called now Funtasy Islands) by clicking on the first link:
As this is a beta-test island for upcoming content, some bugs may appear.
The first test is a boss named "Sweet Cutie", level 1 to 30. Once defeated at a given level, its next-level version unlocks. However, you'll have to wait 20 hours before you can face it again.
Finally, it gives basic tokens and a 3* or 4* Archoleth, depending on the chest chosen.
Teddys
All plushies in raw wood version are now available and functional

Guild island improvements, fixes
A client patch took place on June 07, 2023 to implement the fixes and improvements listed below:
Guild Islands
- Your guild island can at last receive guests, thanks to the addition of an option. More user-friendly that way, isn't it?
- Another long-awaited improvement: the foreman can build a chest on your guild island… giving you access to your guild hall inventory. ????
Miscellaneous
- Access to ritual items is now more intuitive.
- A verification system for game files has been added in the "Version note" app (/appzone 2167).
Fixes
- Fix of the fames' bug at save time.
- Fix of a bug that caused bonus timers (such as invulnerability, speed, etc.) to disappear.

Tryker rite, Marauders' fame changes, OP Materials Enhancer Building
A client patch and server restart took place on May 26, 2023 to implement the additions and modifications listed below:
The second rite of the new Encyclopedia is out!
Drum roll It's done, the second rite of the New Encyclopedia has been released! Come and have fun discovering it!
Go to the Fairhaven tourist office and buy there a copy of the Liberty Lake Guide. Then you can embark on a most romantic ritual following the story of Flynn and his sweetheart Damae.
Your reward? Fun, of course! But not only that… because you'll also get a cool new permanent skill! I won't tell you more, because having the surprise is better, isn't it ;)
The Marauders' fame is changing!
The Marauders' fame now becomes a fame like any other, and no longer depends on the fames of other nations/factions:
- Neutrals (no allegiance) and Rangers can raise their Marauders' fame to +50.
- Those who have pledged allegiance to a nation or faction have their Marauders' fame blocked at -50.
- The Marauders have all their fames (except for the Marauders' one, of course!) blocked at -50.
- A Marauder NPC is selling items in exchange for Marauders' faction points.
Negative fame adapts to the situation
In order to allow everyone to have access to all the activities in the cities, including future rites, while keeping a certain logic in the roleplay, the following modification has been implemented for everyone:
- While carrying a weapon (including amps) or being PvP tagged in a city, negative fames keep their normal value (so at least -100) and therefore enemy players in the city get attacked by guards.
- Without weapon and without PvP tag, not representing a direct danger, the negative renowns never go below -40, which allows players to go freely in the cities. Of course, if they take out a weapon or activate their PvP tag, they will be attacked by the guards : logical, isn't it? ;)
[Guild Island] Outpost Materials Enhancer Building

The first Guild Island building is available! Here's how to get it and use it.
If you are Leader or High Officer in your guild:
You will see an option to recruit a Quartermaster, in exchange for Dappers[1] and Guild Points.
0 - Start by recruiting the Stewardess, if you haven't already!
1 - Open the menu on your Stewardess: "Rewards and Services".
You will see an option to recruit a Quartermaster, in exchange for Dappers and Guild Points.
Your guild can earn Guild Points by visiting the scouts or hunters and get the list of Bosses in the region (use the guild app —/appzone 2835— to know the regions already obtained).
2 - Once the Quartermaster is recruited, make him appear, like the Stewardess.
3 - The Quartermaster offers you to erect buildings in exchange for supreme materials and Guild Elyps.
With the first option (1), all players in your guild can convert their own Elyps into Guild Elyps.
With the supreme materials and the Guild Elyps you can get the elements (2) needed to create the building (3).
4 - Once you have obtained the building, you can place it wherever you want on your Guild Island.
5 - Use the "Convert" menu of the building to enhance your outpost materials.
To convert Q150 materials to Q200 or Q200 to Q250, your guild will need Guild Points. As said before, your guild can earn Guild Points by visiting the scouts or hunters and get the list of Bosses in the region (use the guild app —/appzone 2835— to know the regions already obtained).
So, ready to enhance your guild's outpost materials? Let's go!!!

- ↑ If you forgot to put dapper in your GH (and you are in the Island you choosed 5 mn ago), you won't be able to transfers dappers from your pocket to GH.
A facelift for the Accomplishments
A big facelift has been given to the Achievements, with a new, more modern and clearer interface.
In addition, each time you complete an achievement, you'll receive an in-game notification. This will motivate you to finish more ;)
Zigs for F2P
Last good news of the day: F2P players can get Zigs again, either by getting pieces offered by other players, or by completing the "Adopt a Zig" rite and then going to adopt one from the Shadow Runners, in Zoraï country.

Patch 2023-03-22: new Encyclopedia, zigs, allegories, NH, temples, OP materials
On March 22, 2023 there will be a patch of the clients and the server as well as a restart of the server.
Discover below the nice new features and improvements implemented!
Encyclopedia, new version
- The first rite of the new version of the Encyclopedia, "Adopt a Zig", is available in the Chest of Wisdom (shift+E or E).
- As a prerequisite for this rite, you need a RYWARD Gubani plushie, which you can buy from the Shadow Runners tribe or get at the Gubani Wheel. A player may also give it to you and that's pretty cool!
- Grab your plushie and start the rite.
- Once the rite has been completed, you will be allowed to adopt one or more Gubani Zigs for 70 Elyps each. (Of course, the Zig pieces obtained at the Gubani Wheel can still be used to obtain a Zig directly).
- To avoid the rush during the release of this first rite, it will cost Elyps for the first 7 days, on a declining scale, then it will be free as of the 8th day onwards. So, if you have the soul of a pioneer, and have a little reserve of Elyps, come and check it out early!
Zigs are coming to Rywards
- Good news: when you open the "Animals/Mount" or "Animals/Zigs" section in Rywards (shift+E or E), all the animal skins you own are automatically added. So you can easily change them as you like.
- As simple as ever: assemble the pieces of mount or zig obtained at the wheel, and get the skin directly in Rywards.
- To apply the skin of your choice to your mount, start by placing it in a stable, then open "Animals/Mount" in Rywards, choose the skin you want, then click on "Apply".
- For a zig, first place it in a stable or in your bag, and do the same from the "Animals/Zigs" section in Rywards.
Allegories
- We have added 4 new Allegories to be engraved at "Loigi Giurgi" north of the Matis arena.
- The prices has been reduced, so don't hesitate!
- "Last breath": 0.5% chance to survive with 1 HP instead of dying.
- "Profitable Loot": Turn loot materials into generic ones for common creatures. 0.1% chance to get double quantity of some materials.
- "Joyful Harvest": 0.1% chance to extract, during an extraction session, an item to bring to the Collector in Capitals for identification.
- "Happy Hunt": 0.1% chance to find, during a hunt session, an unidentified object to give to Collector NPC in Capitals.
New Horizons (NH) (coming soon)
We've simplified the teleportation systems by keeping only the 2 major options: faction teleporters and New Horizons (NH). We have to admit that an NPC magically teleporting himself was… special!
Therefore, the following changes will take place in the next few days:
- NPCs that teleported from the temple to Almati Wood has been removed.
- The NPC in the Marauder's Camp that only teleported once to Almati (a bit lazy that one…) is replaced by a full NH (i.e. accepts trade products and gives Marauder's Faction points).
- Almati's NPCs that serve as teleporters are all removed to make room for a NH (also possibly full).
- Finally, Silan also has its own NH (but it will not be active until much later).
- It is no longer possible to go to a destination using NH if you have not visited it before, as is the case with teleporters. As there are still a few days left before NH changes, it's time to visit all the possible destinations via NH! \o/
An icon indicates if the NH needs occupation products or not (hand or traffic light)
From Thesos, go to Almati or Silan only cost 1 dappers
From Silan (the map show where the NH is) same cost for capitals
The temples
After 10 years of waiting, the reconstruction of the temples is finally over! Hurray!
NPC Indicator
If you are desperately looking for an NPC, you can now politely ask other NPCs to tell you where they might be.
Outpost materials
A rather shady NPC has been spotted going from outpost to outpost, touring Atys. It is said that it trades outpost materials from a faction's drill for the same materials from another faction's drill (Kami, Kara or Marauder).

On Saturday, February 4, 2023, a new section under Rywards allows you to store your plush in Rywards/Supply Box (thus saving space in our inventories).
Patch 943
- Fixed very large objects in macOS clients
- Added [invite] button in private conversation windows

Underways (pants and bra) can be stored to Rywards/Supply Box.
Patch 00945 (26 Feb)
- option for automatic scaling of the interface

- The crazy windows bug has been fixed!
- Addition: /nude command which like /naked removes all equipment, but not what's in the pockets.
